Monument Valley Tours Lodging

Although no motels are located directly in Monument Valley, visitors can drive south to nearby Kayenta, AZ and find lodging. The small town is the only incorporated town located within Navajo Nation. Five locations for lodging serve the town and provide visitors a relaxing night’s stay. Guests can choose from the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, Wetherhill Inn or Anasazi Inn, during their visit to the town. Across the border in Utah, Goulding’s Trading Post offers a 62 room motel. A gas station with a convenience store is located nearby, as well as a site for RV hookups.

Visitors may also camp at the Mitten View Campground, located near to the Visitor Center, for $10 in the summer and $5 in the winter. Campgrounds are open year round and are on a first come first serve basis. Those camping in groups must make reservations in advance for a fee of $20. The campground hosts 99 sites which include a table, Ramada, grill, and garbage cans. During the summer months restrooms are available, in addition to coin-operated showers and a filling/dumping station.
